Okay, here are just some pictures I took of Nathan and Abi...I think I was trying to get his 18 month pictures in but there are some reall cute ones here:
This one I added the broom and hammer because I thought their expressions reminded me of that old farmers photo with the pitchfork and shovel (or whatever it was)...anyway, you get the point!
Instagram Feed
Since most of my updating is done via Instagram these days I thought I'd add a section that links to my feed. Click on any of the pictures to get an enlarged version. I hope you enjoy the pics:

A New Baby Boy in the Schlatter Family
Yep, on June 27th, Marion's middle brother, Marvin and his wife, Heather, had a little baby boy. He weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. They don't have a name for him yet, so I'll have to pass that along later but I thought I'd update all you blog readers on the new addition to the family.
We are pretty excited for Marvin and Heather as they have two little girls already (Piper, 5, Willow, 3) and Marvin really wanted a little boy! It will be fun to see him as he is basically two pounds more then Nathan was when he was born! We don't have any pictures or anything yet, but we'll see if maybe we can get one posted once Marianne comes back from visiting. I am sure she'll have pics on her camera.
Well, that is all for now. I'll post the name when we get one.

Harvest
Well, we only got one picture of harvest 2007 and to be honest it isn't that great of a picture...but...it is a picture!
We got to go and ride around with Daddy on the combine several times this year. Marion and I talked about how we didn't know how we would all fit once our family grew again. The kids would sit on the floor and just watch and watch. Marion tried to teach Abigail that we cut the wheat and then later we grind the wheat for flour to make bread...I'm not sure how much of that stuck though! Nathan apparently took alot in while we drove because he now takes his play combine or grain cart and fills the trucks with them!

A VERY BIG Mosquito
Marion thought I should tell you all about the VERY BIG Mosquito that was in Nathan's bedroom today.
Abigail and Nathan were upstairs playing when Abigail came running downstairs declaring there was a very big mosquito in Nathan's room. Marion proceeded to tell Abigail that you need to kill the mosquito by either slapping your hands together around it or by hitting it to kill it. Abigail went to try but soon we heard wails of "I Can't Do it". So Marion went up to see what she was talking about and decided that it was nothing.
Not long after that I heard Abigail declaring the mosquito was back and that heard her trying to hit it. I decided to go check this out and luckily I did...it wasn't a mosquito...it was a WASP and she was trying very hard to hit it with her bare HAND...just like Daddy told her to. Needless to say, I corrected her misjudgment and told her we were NOT to hit wasps like that and proceeded to rid the room of the wasp! Just goes to prove we need to be a little more cautious with what we tell her!

Imagination
Abigail has really started using her imagination. She has had several really great stories lately. Here are a few:
Nathan's Deer:
Abigail and Nathan were playing upstairs and were actually getting along fairly well when Abigail came marching down the stairs proclaiming there as a deer in Nathan's room. Now, I know there was not a DEER in his room but I did want to make sure there wasn't something else so I asked her some questions and she proceeded to tell me that the deer was a dancing deer and when she played the little piano it would dance for her. Then as if she thought I truly beleived her she said, "I tending mommy!" It was quite cute!
Her Babies:
She was sitting on the chair at lunch time and we began a conversation with her about what she wanted to do when she grew up, when she informed us that she was going to have FOUR babies when she grew up bigger and bigger. She told us how they would grow in her tummy and that they would all come out, out, out, out! Daddy asked her where she was going to live when she got bigger and she said that she would live in this house so that Daddy and Mommy could play with her babies. We dismissed the conversation and after naps she came downstairs and informed us that Nathan was going to have FIVE babies for us to play with. So we are expecting quite the grandchildren in the future!
White Blueberries:
This afternoon the children where playing outside and they ventured into forbidden territory. Despite the reprimand that they got Abigail was so excited and was just chatting and chatting about these white blueberries she found and how she was eating them. This concerned me as I did not know what she was talking about and she proceeded to show me the white blueberries that she had picked and stated that these ones were still a little green so she wouldn't eat them yet. I saved them and showed them to Marion to see what they were and he said they were red cedar tree seeds. He proceeded to question Abigail about eating them and she firmly proceeded to tell him, "I tending!".
It is getting a bit harder to tell sometimes when she is "tending" and when she really is doing something but so far between Marion and me we have been able to get to the truth. We wanted to remember these funny little stories and thought the blog would be a fun place to share them. Hope you had a little chuckle with us!
