Just a few cuties...

Pictures are still coming but might have to wait until Wednesday (we have a play date tomorrow).  Anyway, just wanted to share a few cute stories with the kids....mostly Jonny:

On Saturday, we decorated the Christmas tree.  The kids were so very excited about it all and have asked me every day since if we could do more decorating!  Marion and I were both amazed that Jonny picked up on the decorating very quickly.  After watching Abi and Nate put up just a few of the felt ornaments, he was right there with them.  Though he put most of his in the same spot...it was adorable to watch the three of them decorating the tree.  Nate crawled under the tree to hang several and Abi tried to stretch as high as she could.  Such diversity in the three!

On a different note, for some reason, Jonny has taken a recent fancy to monkeys.  He gets the toy monkey at church and puts it on the tractor to drive and today he was giving his monkey a bath!  I heard water running in the bathroom which is usually trouble...as I approached, Jonny came out saying "Hot...Hot...Monkey Bath!"  When I entered the bathroom, I found the water running on hot (not enough though to hurt him) and the monkey finger puppet swimming in the pooled water!  He was indeed giving his monkey a bath!

Well, I guess that is all the cute stories I have for right now...I thought there were a few more, but can't remember them :0)  If I think of them, I'll add them in!  Have a great night!

Abi LOST her tooth!

It is official...the tooth is out!
I noticed earlier today that it was VERY loose so after naps (when she was in a better mood) I asked her if I could see it. Sure enough...it was hanging by a thread. I pushed back just a little and then forward and it came right out! Very little bleeding and with just a little bit of swishing, it stopped. She is very excited and can't wait to tell all her cousins.

Unfortunately, the camera is at Grandma's so we'll have to wait to post a picture later. But we just had to share with everyone...the tooth is OUT!
Here is the picture of our toothless smile:

Christmas Tree decorating

As usual, we tried to get the Christmas tree decorated the weekend of Thanksgiving. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't and this year...it worked! The kids were so excited. We started the evening off by going to the Tree Fest in Downs as a family. Then we came home and decorated our tree!

The kids had a blast hanging the felt ornaments all over the tree and then Abigail asked if we could do candy canes as well. This has proven to be quite the temptation for Jonathan, but I think we are starting to get the hang of it! We were so surprised when Jonny started hanging the ornaments too after watching Abi and Nate only do a few. Here are a few pictures of the kids doing their decorating:

(sorry for the sideways pictures...thought I had those fixed but at least you can still see them!)
This year, I actually got in the pictures because Abi is very in to taking pictures...she does a good job too:

Below are the kids' individual ornaments and Daddy hanging the star!

Overall it was a great evening full of memories and special times. The older they get, the more treasured these days become to me!

Baby Update

Well, we had another check up today. Baby is doing well. Heartbeat is strong. Movement is not very active but he sure tells me when he is squished...if I bend over he really kicks me! Anyway, my blood pressure was awesome at 106/58, but my weight was up quite a bit. The doctor thinks it is due to water retention because of the extremeness of it. So, I guess I'll be watching the salt intake over Thanksgiving (as well as the food intake :0)

Not much else to report really...next appointment is December 22...still going every four weeks. The diabetes test comes next time around...that should be fun around Christmas!

Hope you are all doing well..things are going pretty good here...OH....I forgot...both Jonathan and I are on an antibiotic for two weeks. I told the doctor about my headaches and cold that I've been having for like 3 weeks and he determined it was sinusitis..which is common for me. I then told him that Jonny had been sick longer than me with a runny nose and he decided he needed some too! So, that will be fun!

Oh...and another PS...tonight was bath night and we've been having some issues with Jonathan peeing in the tub...so tonight for the fun of it, I stripped him down and made him stand in front of the toilet. We stood there for a while with nothing happening so I turned on the focet...sure enough...he peed in the potty! I guess that is some progress...but NO...I'm not potty training...just trying to keep the bath water clean ;0)

Abigail's got a loose tooth!

Yep, I can't believe it...can it really be time for this stage already?

I did some research because I was a little alarmed that she really had a loose tooth but we know it isn't from any type of accident so it is a genuine loose tooth! And it isn't just a little loose...it really wiggles (at least forward). Most places say it starts at around 6 or 7 years of age but if a child got teeth early or late it can affect when they lose them.

Looking back, Abigail got her first tooth at 5 months, so I guess it isn't impossible she'd loose them early. She is afterall almost 5 1/2 years old now! Can that really be? Well, we will keep posted as to when it actually comes out. She is excited and yet worried. I wanted her to be prepared when it came out for it to bleed and now she isn't so sure she wants it to come out :0) Yet, she is still working it around. She was also concerned that she wouldn't be able to eat until it came out but I assured her it would be okay.

Well, it is about time to start preparing for bed so I best be going.

Baby 4 Ultrasound

Well we had the routine half way done ultrasound today. Usually done around 20 weeks, our was scheduled for just past 19. HOWEVER, the measurements given by the baby say we are only 18 weeks...so we will have to see if the doctor moves our due date back a bit (Yes, Heather...it makes your birthday even more a possibility!).

We had an interesting time of it as half way through, the machine froze up and we had to wait for it to reboot...we think the technician felt so bad about making us wait that she gave us lots of pictures! Below are just three:

Here is a good profile picture, you can see the arm and hand crossing the chest:

Here the baby is giving us a thumbs up!

And this one is of the baby's legs. They are crossed at the ankles...you can also tell what we are having if you know where to look!

For those of you who might not know where to look in the above picture...we are pretty sure we are having another boy! This makes 7 boys - 3 girls for the Schlatter family and 5 boys - 2 girls for the Converse side.
Abigail literally cried when we told her another boy was on the way! She was really rooting for a little sister!
