Nathan's 6 Year Picture

Yes, I am aware that he turned six back in October, but hey...you take the picture when you can take the picture...right???

Anyway, here is the few shots we took of him and the one we used as his 'official'.

being  fun

I ended up photo shopping the picture a bit to make it work the best but here it is...the official:

And now...December is caught up...on to 2012!~

Not the same little boy

We will try this and see if it works.

Marion felt the boys needed haircuts, so we did that last night. I learned a long time ago that Jonny just doesn't look like Jonny if his hair is cut too short. So, it was easy for me to cut his hair longer than the crew.

BUT, I had not learned that lesson with Ethan! I'm so sad I could cry! But after the first cut, I couldn't go back...so he will just be a different little boy until his curls grow back! (I pray his curls grow back!) and I will never cut his hair crew short again if I can help it.

Abigail's Create-a-Bear

You might have noticed that Abigail got a Create-a-Bear for Christmas.  This was the day we decided to assemble the bear.

So, I know I am behind on blogging again, and yes, someday I will get caught back up. But today I just have to share a blurb from one of the blogs I've been reading. The website is A Holy Experience. I think she has introduced me to my new mantra for 2012: If it matters, you make the time. If it doesn't, you make excuses! and my new quote for 2012 will be The accomplishment of a day isn’t so much about accomplishing goals but abiding in God, and this is the thing that needs remembering

Here is the whole blurb. The whole post is good and by clicking the text below you can go to that post, but this is the part that struck me:

If it matters, you make the time.

If it doesn’t, you make excuses.

Standing in an imperfect place is just the perfect place to begin, and everyday offers the hope of Day 1. His mercies are new every morning and this is a gift.

...

And then, at the end of the day, to be done with the day because you’ve done what you could do. The accomplishment of a day isn’t so much about accomplishing goals but abiding in God, and this is the thing that needs remembering. True, the day may have stumbled and fallen, but in Christ we are the saved.

Tomorrow, it will descend like a fresh dew, a fresh snow, and it will come again —  Fresh grace all over again

A Family Nativity

As many of you probably saw, this year, Marianne wanted to do a Nativity Scene for her Christmas Card with all the grand kids.  The first problem was finding a time to get all the grand kids here.  The second was that Baby 12 (now Cousin MS) was not born yet.  SO...we had to do a little photo shopping to get him in.

Below is my version of the picture.  I didn't go to NEAR the work that my SIL did on hers. I just took a realitively good picture that I had, took out the dust, added Cousin MS and went with it.  (oh...I had to take out some red eye too)

Christmas Day - Cousin Exchange

This year we decided to exchange gifts only between the cousins.  The Adults Stepped OUT!

So here is yet another gift exchange we had that was just between the Cousins!

And then Grandma Makey got one last gift - A digital frame!

I didn't get any other pictures from Christmas as we were busy with playing and visiting.  But we had a great time and are so thankful for family to celebrate with!

Christmas Morning

You can't have Christmas pictures without the Christmas MORNING ones!  It didn't take long for all the kids to get up and going in the morning...very excited about opening presents.  My sister and her family were all decked out in their jammies and all my kids (except Ethan) decided to stay in theirs as well.

Enjoy the pictures of Christmas Morning Presents:

Ethan got to open quite a few since he missed out on Christmas EVE!

The three cousins had to all go at the same time since they were all tied together. ONE....TWO... THREE!

Coming Next...the Cousin Exchange...
