Baby Sarah was born naturally at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday morning, September 8th.
On Wednesday we found out that she was not showing any diaphragm movements on the ultrasound but other than that was healthy and looked great. Immediately after she came out, Heidi was prepared with the recession equipment and 911 was called.
Marion went with Heidi and Sarah to the hospital while I continued to deliver the placenta and get cleaned up.
At the hospital, Sarah's heart rate was found and established (they could not find it right after she as born...it was there before she came out though). But they had to put her on a ventilator because she just would not breath on her own. Before we left the hospital at 5 a.m. They told us that she had a very high ph blood level (she was acidic) and that she is still in very critical status.
We have not gotten to see her since they took her and are praying and hoping to see her soon. We will post pictures when we can. We don't know how much she weighs yet either but will try to post that too when we can.
Please pray for our little girl and our family as this is a challenging time.
Our God is the author and finisher of life. We trust Him completely with our little girls life! Lord, please breathe life into Sarah and heal her from all possible complications.
Specific requests: Sarah breathes on her own, Sarah has no brain damage or complications from lack of oxygen, and her blood tests are all normal and corrected
Also, Marion is really struggling, please lift him up with extra prayers of strength and peace. I am doing well, recovering from birth but doing well...a bit weak at the moment.
